'Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember you have within you the strength the patience and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world'. What an awesome sentiment!!
Hello - yes it is that time again. I get to share my fourth art journal entry! This time
Tracy and I decided it was going to be a girly theme, and I really wanted to add a spring feel to mine. My newest haul from Unity Stamp Company included several girly stamps, this stamp in particular is called Dream Girl by
Angie Blom. I love the image and the sentiment. I felt there was enough said so I didn't add any other sentiments. I wanted it to be feminine, airy, springy...... and I think I achieved that.
I had started by stamping the Dream Girl image and then masking a border around my pages. Then I used distress inks to watercolour the background. These pages are not watercolour paper so it was a bit challenging to watercolour and I had to really layer the colour. I seemed to need a lot of water to spread the ink. I applied the three colours, dried them, then applied more colour, let it drip a bit and dried again. The other challenge for me was to stamp the birds since it's a large stamp and I wanted them to go across both pages, but it turned out pretty good. The right side of the journal is pretty bulky and uneven.
The flowers stamp was inked with distress markers. After stamping them in first and second generation, I decided this is where I was going to leave it - nothing else required.
Except a little Wink of Stella on her face and the heart :)
