Remi - 6 x 6 Layout - and intro to our new pup

Meet Remi :). He made it onto his first page - a 6 x 6 fall layout.  He's a character, that's the best way to describe him.  He came to us when we needed joy the most this past February.  He was born Dec. 23/19 and is a Whoodle - half wheaten terrier, half poodle.  He has more energy than any dog I've had and keeps us laughing.

I love the dimension on this page with the copper coloured Thickers and the little wooden acorn.  The pile, jump and smile sticker is also popped up.  I just can't capture the shine and colour of the Remi letters - they're so coppery!

Supplies:

Simple Stories, Pebbles, Jen Hadfield patterned papers and stickers
American Crafts Cozy Gold Thickers

Believe In the Magic - 6 x 6 layout - and farewell to my boy

This is one of the last photos I have of my boy Sampson.  He has gone over the rainbow bridge now after a battle with cancer.  He would have been eight in February.  This one is going to hurt for a long long time.

I let the paper do the work in this case - it's designed by Unity Stamp Co., I only had to add the sentiment and a few enamel dots.  The die is from Simon Says Stamp and 'in the magic' is a Tim Holtz rub on.

Like Father Like Son - 6 x 6 layout

It's very rare I get pics of these two together :)  I created a 6 x 6 layout using Basic Grey's Oliver paper and brads.  I haven't used brads in ages!!  The arrow sticker is from CTMH.  I loved using letter stickers for the title - something I don't think of often.

You're The Best - 6 x 6 layout

I'm really a fan of making these 6 x 6 layouts, especially when I'm feeling restless and want to create but don't have much time, just want to get something done.  Know what I mean?

I punched 2 different sized circles from the main page then backed the spaces with patterned papers all from Amy Tangerine.  I used a Vicki Boutin stamp for the title and added faux stitching around the circles.

I love the look of the layered photo.  Of course I had to add splatters of Heidi Swapp's Gold Colour Shine.

You and Me Forever - 6 x 6 layout

I decided to make 6 x 6 layout of one of our wedding photos using one of Vicki Boutin's techniques.

Using her art crayons and stamps, I applied a few of the crayons directs to the stamp and then misted them with water and stamped directly on my page.  Beautiful and simple effect!!

You've Got a Friend

I just wanted to share a couple super sweet 6 x 6 layouts made recently.  The first was made a couple months ago as a free make and take with my CTMH Consultant Donna.  When I brought the layout home I searched my pictures and this photo was too perfect.

Last summer, one of my best girlfriends (going back to grade 7) came home with her kids for a visit.  We hadn't seen each other in probably seven years and we spent the week as if no time had passed at all.  Our girls got aquainted again, they had only met when they were very young.  We were at the marina this day and we got a super awesome picture of the girls looking out on the overpass.  We asked them to get a picture of us too :)

So the first layout is the free make and take with myself and my girlfriend.  Today I finally got around to making a matching layout using the photo of the girls, my daughter is in the middle.  Whatever the filter was that was used on the photos that day, made them a perfect match to these papers.  Gotta love iPhones and their apps!!  Thanks Donna, I love these layouts :)
