Hello Baby

Here is one of the cards I worked on at the Crop last week.  It's a baby card for my sister in law in New Zealand.  The little elephant is from Unity's stamp set Could I Be Any Cuter and the sentiments are from Simon Says Stamp Tiny Ray of Sunshine stamp set.

I actually used my sewing machine on this card with some silver thread!!!  Now that my scrap room is coming together I have a dedicated sewing table which has paper storage underneath.  I love how the inside of the card turned out.

I'm sharing my card over at Unity's Friends With Flair tonight.

Supplies:
Paper:  Basic Grey Fresh Cut, SU Baked Brown Sugar and Whisper White
Stamps:  Unity Could I be Any Cuter, Simon Says Stamp Tiny Ray of Sunshine
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories:  silver thread, Mister Huey Calico Shine Spray

I had to share this cute CTMH Make 'n Take card from the Crop last weekend that Donna let us make and our little gift was this cute little strawberry with a Hershey's Kiss inside :)

Easter Treats

Happy Easter!  Had to share these adorable treat bags I made for my neighbor's granddaughtersEverything used was Stampin Up except for the tags, those are my new My Favourite Things Traditional Tag and Pierced Tag Stax dies, LOVE them.  You can see the piercing in the close ups.  I had so much fun making these.  It was my first time using the Designer Frames embossing folder too.  I added some Wink of Stella around the embossed frame for a touch of bling, girls gotta have bling. The sentiment was actually punched out using the Word Window punch, but I didn't like the rounded ends, so I made them into flagged ends instead.

And of course my daughter asked me to make a card for her boyfriend, so I cased this, you can find the original here, Bada-Bing!  Paper-Crafting! - another one who always inspires me.  We thought the colours were good for a boy card.

Happy Easter

Oh my gosh!!  My niece is going to LOVE this!!!  I know I do, but I have to give it away, lol.  I used Stamping Bella's Izzie is a Bunny, love the Izzie stamps :)  Aaand I used up some more of my old paper stash.  I got this a few years back from my local scrapbook store, it's My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary and I always imagined it on an Easter card.

It's funny, everytime I go to colour with my copics, I get a little anxious as I don't play with them often enough, but I just grabbed some colours that I thought would go and this is how it turned out.  I was happy.  Izzie's hair is my favorite hair to colour.  The egg is covered in glossy accents and her dress and ears are all sparkled up.  I even shined her shoes :)

I'm entering this card over at Shabby Tea Room #214 Easter Sweetness.  It turns out the Challenge suited my card perfectly, polka dots and/or stripes and here is the inspiration photo:

Stamps:  Stamping Bella Izzie is a Bunny
Paper:  My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary, Core'dinations Colourburst cs, PTI's Stampers Select Choice White
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, copics

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!  We got more snow today!!  So want spring to be here already - not the muddy spring - can we fast forward to the green grass and daffodils spring???

My cards today were spring inspired - flowers and bees :). I found an adorable card on Pinterest which inspired my card and then I cased it since I needed two cards for Easter dinner today :)

This week at The Friday Mashup FM 103 challenge, one of the options was to give your card a distressed appearance. I used my Tim Holtz edge distresser on the Stampin Up Print Poetry dsp and I distressed the Crumb Cake, Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit and the Naturals White (my new favorite) card stock with Crumb Cake ink as well.

This card was for my dad and the cased card below was for my mother and father in law. You can see the original card here.

I just love these these bottle top caps from Stampin Up, especially after squishing them in my cuttlebug.

Stamps:  Stampin Up Collage Curios, Teeny Tiny Wishes and One In A Million
Ink: Stampin Up Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Raspberry Ripple (marker)
Paper:  Stampin Up Print Poetry dsp, Crumb Cake, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green and Naturals White cs
Accessories:  Stampin Up bottle top caps, scalloped circle punch, Honeycomb and Fancy Fan embossing folders

The Crafty Pad Challenge #118 - Circles

Hello and Happy Easter!!! This is my last week as guest designer over at The Crafty Pad. Here is another Easter card, this time for The Crafty Pad's Challenge #118 - Circles - I used the Bunny digi image again. This week's challenge is sponsored by Letraset and The Crafty Pad.

I decided to use some more Basic Grey Olivia paper since I loved the cute little animals in the background and thought it seemed appropriate for the season. The tiny brads are from the same Basic Grey collection. You probably saw this sketch before, I used The Sweet Stop's Sketch #103. I also used my new Stampin Up cs and ink Baja Breeze - I inked up the edges of the kraft cs with the Baja Breeze Ink.

I entered this in The Spotted Chick's That's Krafty Thursday #50.

Paper: Basic Grey Olivia dp, Stampin Up Baja Breeze cs
Stamps: The Crafty Pad's Digi Image Bunny, Amy R's Spring Sentiments
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Stampin Up Baja Breeze

Happy Easter Bobbers!

I found this adorable digi Easter Anya for free over on The Greeting Farm's Blog and I couldn't resist! It was perfect for my daughter's Easter card. I used one of the previous sketches as well from TGF's Farm Fresh Challenge. I originally only coloured this image as a test for colours but it turned out so well that I ended up cutting her out and eventually it turned into this! I used Basic Grey's Olivia dp and finally got to use some of the ribbon doilies that match. I popped her up with some pop dots over the oval background which I coloured using a sponge applicator and Ranger's Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass. Some rhinestones from my dollar store stash finished everything off. The sentiment on the inside is a freebie digi as well from Pink Cat Studio.

I entered this card in The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge - Digital Get Down and The Spotted Chick's That's Krafty Thursday #50.

Paper: Stampin Up Crumb Cake, Basic Grey Olivia
Stamps: TGF did Easter Anya, PCS digi sentiment
Ink: Ranger Distress Ink Tumbled Glass

Happy Easter!

Hello!! I've been busy with a new project which you will see soon enough!! But in the meantime, I have this sweet card to share. This is a digi image called 'Bunny Holding Egg' from Pink Cat Studio which is one of 5 that I won from a contest at Paper Sundaes back when they had their Birthday Celebration. The papers are Kaisercraft's Lilac Avenue Collection, left over from a Scrapbook page I made last year at Dat's (which I still need to finish off with a picture). I used Friday Sketchers #147.

I heat embossed the little eggs on the inside of the card, and I'm not sure if you can tell but the brads inside the flowers are soft and fuzzy!
Paper: Kaisercraft Lilac Avenue Colloction, SU Perfect Plum and Certainly Celery

Stamps: Bunny Holding Egg and sentiment - Pink Cat Studio (digi), CTMH Sensational Season (eggs inside) Ink: Copics, SU Perfect Plum Accessories: Prima flowers, brads from stash, Nestabilities
