Hello Baby

In April I was at a local crop fundraiser for Autism.  While there, I created this card with my new Simon Says stamp and die bundle Baby Love.  It has the Baby Clothes & Crib dies and the Tiny Ray of Sunshine stamp set.  This is for my BFF who adopted a baby boy 'Joseph' in March.  I'm finally going to Minneapolis to see them in a couple weeks :)  Can't wait to meet him!!!  It's been a long, long wait.....

I used Stampin Up Sunshine and Sprinkles dsp for the front of my card and the liner of the envelope.  When creating envelopes I always wonder, how do I want the envelope to close?  I went through my stash and found these awesome corduroy brads that I've had forever - they were perfect with a little baker's twine (next time I'll add the brad before the decorative paper inside the envelope).  The inside sentiment is from Amy R's Baby Sentiments, and the little duck and hearts are from the Simon Says stamp set again.

While at the crop, I was commissioned by two friends to make them a baby card each as well, of course I obliged :)

Stamps:  Simon Says Tiny Ray of Sunshine, Amy R's Baby Sentiments
Paper:  SU Sunshine and Sprinkles; SU Baked Brown Sugar, Marina Mist and Naturals White cs
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark, copics
Accessories:  Simon Says Baby Clothes & Crib dies, Hero Arts white embossing powder, SU Summer Sun Corduroy brads, The Twinery bakers twine, Uni-ball white pen;

Wish U. Goodcheer

How adorable are these!!  I enjoyed making them so much.....this is a Sweet November stamp called Wish U. Goodcheer I won from the creator Amy Young.  Not only did I win the stamp but all the papers, cards, envelopes, bling, buttons, snowflakes, ribbon and twine to create these and more!!  So generous.  She does this with each new stamp release :)  I used a layout that Amy Rysavy used with this same stamp and I used her stamp sets Winter Sentiments and Snowman Wishes.

Merry Christmas - gift card holder

Hello!!  It's October 10th and I've made my first Christmas card this year!!!  I'm ahead :). Actually I have some left over from last year so I'm not doing so bad.

Love this card / gift card holder and I've decided to prep a bunch for a crop I'm attending in a couple weeks. This is my first crop!!!!  Excited - I've registered for a bunch of classes too, woohooo!

Here is a link to the tutorial for this card. Only thing I did different was I used a kraft card base rather than dp. I wanted it to be sturdy. I think this would be great to give a few packaged together as a gift for someone else to give and I have someone in mind for that.

I'm entering this into Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge #45.
Stamps:  Hero Arts Holiday Sayings, Amy R's Christmas Card Greetings
Paper:  Fancy Pants Tradition and My Family dp, Kraft cs
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories:  SU Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding ribbon, SU button, twine, 1"circle punch, Martha Stewart score board

Halloween Tags

Hi all!! I wanted to share some fun I had this halloween season. I was inspired to make tags this year and bag the treats. I only get a few children as we live in a rural area, but I did up 10 bags and they went over quite well!! My inspiration came from this lady Danielle Lounds at Fat Cat Stamper. Last year and this year she made several tags and gave them away to lucky winners and (lucky me)I happened to win a set both times. Here are links to the tags she's made and given away - 2012 Summer Tags and Christmas Tags 2011 (scroll down to see all 5 tags).

So - decided to make my own tags.  I used 3 different paper and accessory packs - Cosmo Cricket Matilda, Basic Grey Eerie, My Minds Eye Mischievous.  I used Stampin Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes and Amy R's Ghostly Greetings for the sentiments.  So much fun :)  The stamped images were coloured with my copics. I also used Martha Stewart ribbon and punch and Stampin Up punches.  This is the first time I used little chipboard stickers too. The tags were cut with my Cricut using the Art Philosophy cartridge. I think my favourites are the ones using the Mischievous paper.

Let it Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow

Hi there - I guess it wasn't enough to make 4 projects at my Stampin Up class today, I had to come home and make another!! I have wanted to use Stamping Bella's Glideabella since last winter and I always imagined it on a card for my daughter's friend who takes figure skating lessons. So here it is. I used this week's Freshly Made Sketch #7.

I'm also entering this at Stamping Bella's Bellarific Friday which is to use stripes this week.

I used Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses and coloured with copic markers to match the dp. These snowflakes matched so well, they are Stampin Up's Little Felt Flurries. I added a touch of sparkle with Chrystal Stickles and some shimmer to her hat with some White Opal Liquid Pearls.

Stamps: Stamping Bella's Glideabella, Amy R's Winter Sentiments
Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses, kraft cs
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Jet Black Stazon, Stampin Up Ruby Red (edging on inside white cs), copics
Accessories: Stampin Up Little Felt Flurries, Stampin Up scallop border punch, Basic Grey brads, Chrystal Stickles, White Opal Liquid Pearls

Happy Birthday Pops

I made this card for my Dad for his birthday this month. I decided to try and use all Stampin Up products. I liked this because it seemed to come together a bit quicker for me as there was no paper to choose or colouring which meant a nice quick card. I just matched some cardstock and ink and voila!!

All products Stampin Up :) (except for inside sentiment)

Stamps: Lovely As A Tree, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Sanded (background stamp), Amy R's Birthday Sentiments
Paper: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard
Ink: Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Log Cabin Smooch Spritz, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, Scallop Edge Border punch

Happy Birthday

Another birthday card for August!! This one is for my father-in-law. He is an avid outdoors man and hunter and beleive it - this is the closest thing to outdoors I had in my stash of stamps. Will have to fix that!!

Anyway, I used an owl from The Greeting Farm's Hoo Loves You set, some Stampin Up dp and some CTMH buttons. That's about it, other than a little sparkle from my Clear Spica Glitter Pen and some Glossy Accents on the little guys beak

By the way, I coloured the owl using Stampin Up inks and a blender pen.

Stamps: The Greeting Farm Hoo Loves You, Amy R's Birthday Sentiments
Paper: Stampin Up Le Jardin cs, Always Artichoke

Happy Belated Birthday

Here is the third card of four birthday cards I need this month. Actually the birthday was in July but luckily we haven't got together yet so I'm good!!

I continued with the Bo Bunny Barefoot and Bliss paper pack. This time I used Kraftin' Kimmie's Eleanor. She was fun to colour. I used a bit of some homemade glitter spritz on the flowers and some Hero Arts gems for the center. And for a bit more bling, I added some Diamond Stickles to the flowers on Eleanor's hat. The sentiment was popped up using some mini pop dots.

I finally made my own cloud background with some sponge and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I simply cut out a piece of cardstock in the shape of a cloud and sponged around it all over the white background of the stamped image. I'm very happy with how it turned out and it's actually not so intimidating like I thought :-)

I used I Love 2 Stamp's August Sketch for You to Try.

I'm also entering this in the Crafty Calendar's August Challenge - Hot Colours and The Crafty Pad's Challenge #134 - Cute n' Girly and of course I also entered The Spotted Chick's That's Krafty Thursday #53.

Paper: Bo Bunny Barefoot and Bliss, Stampin Up Night of Navy cs, kraft cs
Stamps: Kraftin Kimmie Eleanor, Amy R's Birthday Sentiments
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, Copics
