Oh What Fun!

Owls!!  I love owls and some day soon when my scraproom is re-done I will show you some of my critters.

This card was quick and simple and makes me smile, love how it turned out.  The pewter embossing powder is beautiful, I didn't expect it to look this good!  The last to be added was the corners - remember that punch?  I think it was the perfect finishing touch for this card.  I just kind of relied on the paper to be the focus.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges:

Paper:  Snow Festival dsp, Raspberry Ripple cs, Baja Breeze Textured cs
Ink:  VersaMark, Baja Breeze

Peace and Joy

Another Christmas card for the stash, actually I made two of these. I saw this layout on a card for sale on Etsy and totally fell for it. It was a kraft card base with some pretty gold foiled paper. As soon as I saw it, I thought of this paper, Sparkle and Shine from CTMH. I decided to use the Slate cardstock for the card base and slate ink.  The snowflakes were cut with my silhouette and edged with Slate ink as well.

I absolutely love the Juniper Waxy Flax from Close To My Heart and I wish they still sold it.  I think it's better than twine.  It holds it's shape so well.  And since I used my old stash of waxy flax I'm entering this card in Shopping Our Stash's Challenge - Christmas/Holiday/Winter and Jingle Belles Challenge - Shopping Our Stash.

Stamps:  CTMH Frosted Workshop on the Go stamp
Paper:  CTMH Sparkle and Shine, Slate cardstock
Ink:  CTMH Slate
Accessories:  CTMH Juniper Waxy Flax, silhouette cameo, Basic Grey button

Merry Christmas

Another vintage card to share - this time a Christmas card.  I used one of my first stamp sets Vintage Christmas from CTMH.  I also finally used some paper from MME's Santa Clause paper pack.  Both I had been wanting to pair up for some time.

I adopted my friend Donna's idea of using up paper scraps on the corners of the inside of the card.  I kind of wish I had used Ruby ink on the inside sentiment as well though, oh well.

I'm entering this in Shopping Our Stash's Challenge - Christmas/Holiday/Winter and Jingle Belles Challenge - Shopping Our Stash.

Stamps: CTMH Vintage Christmas and Chard Chatter - Christmas Holidays
Paper:  MME Santa Clause, CTMH Cocoa, SU Very Vanilla
Ink:  CTMH Ruby and Cocoa
Accessories:  CTMH Antiqued Copper Mini Medley, Tim Holtz Edge Distresser
