Finger Painted Blooms Canvas - Wellspring 2020

Another prep lesson for Wellspring 2020, this time by Erica Evans, was to create a canvas of finger painted flowers.  This is about having fun with the materials, not over-thinking the process and seeing where it takes you.

Since it was Mother's Day and my daughter was willing, we did these canvases together.  Hers is the peachy flowers, mine is the purple.  There is a lot of texture to these flowers.  I loved that we spent this time together and that she obliged me and my craftiness.  She actually had fun too!

A Mother....

I'm back with a Mother's Day card for my mother in law.  This is a Unity Stamp set called First Friend, Best Friend, Forever.  I watercoloured using my new Neocolor II crayons.  You might also notice I was playing a bit - staging the photo lol.  This was fun, but I had issues blurring the background even after changing to Aperture Priority on my camera.  But I'm still happy with how it looks.  I didn't have the sequins on the card when I first photographed, they were just used for the scene, then I thought hey - those would look great on the card!!  There's a bit of Wink of Stella on the flower buds for for a little sparkle.

I'm entering this in The Card Concept's Spring Flowers Challenge.

Stamps:  Unity Stamp Co. First Friend, Best Friend, Forever
Paper:  SU Crumb Cake cs, Ranger Watercolor paper, MME Blush
Ink:  Ranger Archival Ink, Neocolor II crayons
Accessories:  Mama Elephant Creative Cuts die, Doodlebug sequins, Wink Of Stella clear, SU doily and twine

Happy Mother's Day

I found this cut file at the Silhouette Online Store and knew it would be used for my Mother's Day Card this year.  What I really like about how it all came together is there is no blue in the patterned paper, but I thought it all went well together and the pinks really stood out.  I played with several patterned papers but liked this one the best.  I think my mother-in-law will love it.

The challenge at Simon Says Monday Challenge this week is FIVE - pick 5 things total to create your project, or 5 of something, or using the number 5 for inspiration.  I used 5 products in total to create my project.

Stamps:  SU Perfect Pennants
Ink:  SU Basic Grey
Paper: Crate Paper Maggie Holmes, SU Baja Breeze textured cs
Accessories:  Queen & Company Pearls

Happy Mother's Day

This was a card I made for my Mother in law. I loved it so much when I saw it, I didn't want to change anything! I found it over on Two Peas In a Bucket by beckyjune. I used Basic Grey's Lemonade paper and brads. Stamps are CTMH's A Little Everything and For Every Occassion. I also used the Scallop Trim Border punch from Stampin Up. All the edges were distressed with Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I used Crackle Accents on the flowers to give them a distressed look and to make them pop a little more.
