I Love Santa - Christmas Tag
Gnomes sure have been a big thing this winter in craft land. I couldn't resist this little Gnome Santa from Unity Stamp Co., the set is called Joy & Blessings designed by Angie Blom. I coloured the images with my Derwent Intense pencils. It was fun, I love how you can use different pressure to get the deeper shades. The tag is outlined in white pigment ink.

City Sidewalks Busy Sidewalks - Unity Planner Journal
Ooooh this was a fun page to do - the image is coloured with copics and then I went over the green presents with a CTMH shimmer pen. The background was inked with distress ink through a Newton's Nook Music Note stencil - I tried to tie in the background to the sentiment - whenever I read the sentiment I hear the song in my head.

Christmas Gnome Tags
Remember I said I had been adding some new products to my stash? Well here's some more - these adorable Gnome tags are made from a die set from Simon Says Stamp. Everything is die cut and pieced together. I coloured the noses and beards with copics.
To finish them off I added some bells and bows to the hats.

Merry Everything - Christmas Card
I've been adding some new to me products to my stash - like I need them! This is a stamp set from Newton's Nook called Santa Paws and has the coordinating die set. I coloured the images with copics. But the real star of the show in my opinion is that background!! I used various distress inks to blend this together, making the centre appear highlighted or glowing. The sentiment was covered in gold embossing powder and I used Heide Swapp Gold Color Shine for a starry appearance. I can't wait to try more backgrounds this way in other colour combinations.

Happy Holidays - Card and Tag Sets
I wanted to get a few Christmas cards done and I love making matching tags. These cards were not my design, I cased them, but the matching tags are my idea :).
I used the Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit 2015 which has been hardly touched all these years LOL and a Simon Says Stamp tag die set. I love love love that rainbow sparkle embossing powder used over the sentiments in the first set. The second set uses puffy stickers (included with the kit) for the sentiment. And those sequins!!!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Art Journal Page
I had a weekend to myself and decided I finally had to use these two girls - I've had them cut and paper pierced for several years, just sitting on my desk. Originally I had planned to make a card with this same paper but it never happened. Just as well, because now I get to keep them :)
I coloured them with copics and paper pierced their dresses and added a bit of shading with copics. There's also some Wink of Stella on the lace on the dresses and their shoes.
I collaged the background using the same paper pack into my small Dylusions Art Journal, then added some random sticker words for the title. All the collaged pieces were adhered with Glue & Seal medium, some strokes of white distress paint here and there and then outlined with a black Distress marker.

Perhaps Strength Doesn't Reside..... Encouragement Card
I fell for this stamp the moment I saw it - I knew I needed it. She is called Autumn created for Unity Stamp Co. by Tracey Malnofski.
I used Distress Inks to watercolour.

Beauty - Unity Planner Journal
For this planner page I tried my hand at a monochromatic look. I think it turned out pretty good. I like to keep the pages flat and one layer but I couldn't resist adding these enamel dots, I think they complete the page. There's just a hint of shimmer on the script and the flowers in there hair.

Strength - Unity Planner Journal
I finally got myself some Nuvo Drops. I used them to finish of this page in my Unity Planner Journal. Very simple, very muted. A little pink on the flowers and some shadows and that was all it needed.

Celebrate - Birthday Card
I seem to have a thing for flamingos lately - ever since we bought our winter home in Florida :). More on that another time!!
I had to have this Stamping Up clear stamp set Fabulous Flamingo! It uses a 3 step process to stamp the body. I've always wanted to try a set like this. This card was for my MIL who also loves our winter home.

Like Father Like Son - 6 x 6 layout
It's very rare I get pics of these two together :) I created a 6 x 6 layout using Basic Grey's Oliver paper and brads. I haven't used brads in ages!! The arrow sticker is from CTMH. I loved using letter stickers for the title - something I don't think of often.

You're The Best - 6 x 6 layout
I'm really a fan of making these 6 x 6 layouts, especially when I'm feeling restless and want to create but don't have much time, just want to get something done. Know what I mean?
I punched 2 different sized circles from the main page then backed the spaces with patterned papers all from Amy Tangerine. I used a Vicki Boutin stamp for the title and added faux stitching around the circles.
I love the look of the layered photo. Of course I had to add splatters of Heidi Swapp's Gold Colour Shine.

Find Strength Within - Tag
A tag I made for a close crafty friend after learning of her breast cancer diagnosis. I recall seeing something similar to this but can't remember the inspiration.
Using distress inks and a mister I created this background on a manila tag and stamped some flourishes in the darker ink. The flowers were stamped in black.
I coated everything with a thick layer of distress crackle paint and waited for the magic to happen!!
I stamped a die cut a butterfly on grunge paper and coloured it in with distress ink, attached some word stickers and adhered the tag to a black background.
