I went to my first Stampin Up Group class yesterday and now I'm really in the mood to do some Stampin Up stuff. I've been fighting with an idea for a card using a Greeting Farm Anya image - thought I would do a sketch last weekend which turned into maybe I'll do the sketch this weekend - which turned into, I just wanna do some Stampin Up Stuff, lolol, no colouring, no copics, no challenges, just some stamping and a card for no reason (for my stash)!
I guess I can't really say no colouring - I did try out my new Blending Pen which is tricky and will take some practice. A couple times I just wanted to go grab my water colour brush, but I perservered and I actually like how it turned out. I can tell the pen is good for small images. I wouldn't want to attempt a big image that's for sure! If anyone has any tips, feel free to leave them here for me :-)
I'm really loving the Crumb Cake paper and ink, which is new for me. I distressed the edges of the paper with Crumb Cake Ink and also used it for the flower stems. The flowers are Old Olive with a touch of Crumb Cake in the centre. I really like this Oh So Lovely set and I'm going to try some more cards with the other stamps and perhpad use some sparkle and Glossy Accents on the flowers. Maybe I'll make a set of them.....hmmmm....maybe.
The sentiment is from Vintage Labels, I was going to use one of the other images from the set but I didn't want to take away from the flower so I kept it small and used the Word Window Punch and just made it a little smaller to fit the saying. I feel good now! I guess I just had to change focus.

Very pretty! I love how this turned out! I agree, once in awhile it's nice to put away the copics and just stamp. I flip back and forth as you can tell. :)
Beautiful card! Very elegant. The distressing adds a great touch to the feel of the card.
This is so pretty!! Love the colors and the distressing.
