This is the card I made for him, hope it doesn't come across as 'halloweeny'. Orange and black are the school colours. I love the little grad cap, I found that at the Silhouette Online Store. Loved that you could cut the tassle in a separate colour. Can you tell I popped it up a bit?
I used my new stencil from Simon Says May 2014 card kit for the stars, which is just what they're looking for in
Simon's Wednesday Challenge 'Stencil It'. I layed it over the paper and sponged on some grey ink which I also went over with some clear Wink of Stella. I tried to get a good picture of the sparkle on the stars but it just wouldn't show up right. I used this week's
Sketch #314 from Sketch Saturday. Rather than adding any more chevron to the card I stuck with the chevron pattern in the paper and added a couple antiqued brads to the corners.
