You're Fin-Tabulous!

Hello - well before I'm off to enjoy this beautiful long weekend I wanted to share a birthday card I made for a friend last night. I used last week's Sweet Stop Sketch but unfortunately I was too late to enter :(

No worries though, it was the perfect sketch for this card. I am entering this into Paper Sundaes Challenge #79 - Beachy or Summer and the Crafty Calendar Challenge for July - Under the Sea or Water.

This is my first time inking up Arianna from Kraftin Kimmie and using Amy R's Summer Sentiments. I used my new paper pack from Bo Bunny - Barefoot and Bliss. The sparkly starfish is from their matching button collection as well.

Stamps: Kraftin Kimmie Arianna, Amy R's Summer Sentiments
Paper: Bo Bunny Barefoot and Bliss, Stampin Up Night of Navy and Marina Mist cs
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, StazOn Jet Black, Copics
Accessories: Crystal Stickles, Prima Crystals. twine from stash

Best Wishes

Hello - Geesh, time is just flying by. Would you believe I had this card in my mind for so long and of course, the night before the wedding, whipped it off under pressure!! And it came together so easily - no layouts or challenges - just an idea in my head for a change, LOL!! I have been meaning to do this card for so long, but have this printer that uses like 5 or 6 cartridges and when one runs out, you can't use it GRRRR! Even if you just want to print black - it just won't do it till you replace whatever empty cartridge regardless. So I had got this digi image from The Greeting Farm and finally got to my hubby's shop and printed it there last week and then Thursday evening began the card for the wedding the next evening :-)

This was for my hubby's half sister who now lives in New Zealand, but she came home for her wedding. She went to teach in Auckland and met a wonderful guy and has made Aukland her home. I knew the colours of the wedding involved yellow and pewter and it turned out that her wedding dress was a very very pale shade of yellow and the bridesmaid dresses were pewter so I was so happy that I chose to make the colours the way I did for the card.

I used The Greeting Farm's digital image called 'Kissy Kissy' and the dp is Basic Grey's Origins. The grooms shoes were shined up with a Sakura clear glaze pen and the bride's flowers and ribbon on her dress got a little bit of sparkle from a clear Spica glitter pen.

The dress and flowers were coloured with a Y11 copic and the blender pen.

Thanks

Hi there - just wanted to share a card I made for my neighbour. She asked if she could use some of our rhubarb and I obliged since I never get around to using it in time and we have a huge spread of it. She brought us a rhubarb pie and it was sooooo delicious!!

I've been really pressed for crafting time these days, so when I came across Mojo Monday's sketch #197 I couldn't resist since it was posted as a 'simple' sketch - I like simple these days!!

I decided to paper piece the apron, the pockets and the oven mit and ended up using pop dots to raise the image and raise the pockets for some added dimension. The twine is something new I recently picked up from Etsy along with a couple other goodies. I just had to add the pie image inside :)

Stamps: Hero Arts What's Cooking, CTMH For Every Occassion
Paper: Cosmo Cricket Togetherness dp
Ink: Tsukineko Brilliance in Coffee Bean, copics (spatula)
Accessories: Stampin Up Corduroy Button Summer Sun, The Twinery twine Peapod Green, corner rounder punch, white heart shaped brads from stash
