Halloween Tags

Hi all!! I wanted to share some fun I had this halloween season. I was inspired to make tags this year and bag the treats. I only get a few children as we live in a rural area, but I did up 10 bags and they went over quite well!! My inspiration came from this lady Danielle Lounds at Fat Cat Stamper. Last year and this year she made several tags and gave them away to lucky winners and (lucky me)I happened to win a set both times. Here are links to the tags she's made and given away - 2012 Summer Tags and Christmas Tags 2011 (scroll down to see all 5 tags).

So - decided to make my own tags.  I used 3 different paper and accessory packs - Cosmo Cricket Matilda, Basic Grey Eerie, My Minds Eye Mischievous.  I used Stampin Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes and Amy R's Ghostly Greetings for the sentiments.  So much fun :)  The stamped images were coloured with my copics. I also used Martha Stewart ribbon and punch and Stampin Up punches.  This is the first time I used little chipboard stickers too. The tags were cut with my Cricut using the Art Philosophy cartridge. I think my favourites are the ones using the Mischievous paper.

Merry Christmas

Hello - I couldn't wait to use this Scentsational stamp and die set from Stampin Up and I used the Sugar & Spice Embossing Powder on the mug so it smells yummy!!

I wish I could have got a better picture, the background is sooo sparkly :)  After embossing with the snow burst embossing folder I stamped it with versamark ink and added Irredescent Ice and heat embossed it.  This card is perfect this week for the The Paper Players Challenge #116 - Cup of Joy.

Snowflakes....

Good day :) This card came together very quickly for me today and I've very pleased with it. I hadn't had a chance to play with my CTMH Snowflakes Stamp set which coordinates with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and I've been wanting to make these snowflakes for some time. Everything came together today! I cut them with my cricut and stamped them in Stampin Up's Craft white ink and then heat embossed them with white embossing powder.  The sentiment and snowflake on the inside is from the same stamp set.  I was so excited to use the tiny twinkle brads from CTMH, I think they add the perfect touch.

The Challenge at Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge #42 is to use animal prints.  Thankfully I saw one of the design team members using animals printed on the paper, rather than an animal print, cause I don't have any, lol.  So I used paper from the Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses paper pack which has tiny deer and penguins.  I also used sketch #16 from Freshly Made Sketches as this weeks challenge is their 1 year anniversay and you can choose any previous sketch you like.

I better get outside with the mutts, it's a beautiful day!

Stamps:  CTMH Snowflakes
Paper:  Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses, kraft
Ink:  Stampin Up Craft White and Classic Soft Suede

Kindness Matters

Hello!! Today I am sharing a card with one of my new favourite (there's quite a few) stamp sets - Kindness Matters :) I came across a new challenge, Dynamic Duos and and it was a challenge for me as I wouldn't necessarily use these two colours and with no other colours (other than neutrals) it became quite the challenge for me.  I hope they consider Soft Suede a neutral.  This is what I came up with:

I'm very pleased with it, and glad it all finally came together.  It was fun using some of my new accessories too.  I haven't water coloured in so long and I loved how it turned out here.  This week's challenge is:

All products Stampin Up (unless stated)

Stamps: Kindness Matters, Sanded Background
Paper:  Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, First Edition dsp, watercolour paper
Ink:  Soft Suede classic ink, Wisteria Wonder and Concord Crush markers, Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Accessories:  Square Lattice embossing folder, Lace Border punch, Framelits Labels, Designer Antique brads, CTMH Victorian Lace ribbon, black embossing powder, watercolour brush

Sampson!!

He's here!!! Meet Sampson, aka Sammy :0

He arrived last Thursday evening and is settling in so well!! He's an 11 week old Airedale and I keep forgetting that although he is almost the same size as Bosley (my mini Schnauzer), he's still just a baby. And my what big feet he has, and sharp teeth!!!

New Challenge

There's a new challenge in town!! Dat's Designing Diva's  and this is their 2nd Challenge - Masculine Cards which I am entering this card into.  I used Stamping Bella's Grillafella.

This card was actually inspired by one of the Diva's, The Happy Yappy Scrapper.  A couple years ago we made this birthday card at one of her card classes and I used it for hubby's birthday then.  I decided to create my own for hubby's birthday this year keeping with the same theme.

I think both of these fella images suit hubby to a tee!!  I love the flip flops :)

Thank You - Woof!

Hi there - I'm sharing a card I made this week for my puppy's breeder. He'll be coming home on the May 4th weekend and I made this for her. She's been so good and patient with all my questions, emails and calls - and I'm sure it's only the beginning!! I don't even have him yet!!! Can't wait to show you a picture, his name is Sampson, Sammy for short and he'll be 10 weeks old when he comes home. He's getting a ride here from Winnipeg with a handler who is coming up that weekend for a show and I absolutely can't wait for him to get here!! It's been a long wait, since last summer when I first contacted the breeder. He's an airedale by the way and I tried to make the dog in the center look like an airedale by adding a few scruffy hairs and a dark patch to his chest :)

I'm entering this in Paper Sundae's Challenge #116 - Anything Goes.

Stamps:  Stamping Bella Woofin' It Up
Paper:  Basic Grey Max & Whiskers
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, copics
Accessories:  Stampin Up So Saffron ribbon, Bazzil rub-ons, Basic Grey brads, Taylored Expressions Large Scallop Border Die, nestabilites, Sakura Black Glaze pen

Happy Birthday redo

Hi there - really quick post, just wanted to share a birthday card I made for my mother in law.  I made this card a while back so I ended up swapping the sentiment in the centre for the same design, with Happy Birthday instead from the Vintage Labels set.

Everything used was Stampin Up except for the glitter glass.

Birthday Surprises

Hi - I'm actually very pleased with my card :) After attending a card class yesterday at my local scrapbook store and making 6 cards, I came home and whipped this up last evening. It's for my daughter's half sister who turned 7. I think I found my Mojo, which has been missing lately. It helps though that my spare room, now my craft room is coming together and mine again. It had been the junk room during our renovations. I've finally got the bed out of there, have my new shelves set up, and actually unpacked my Christmas present, a Cricut Expression!! Time is of the essence now, as this is also going to be where my new puppy's crate is going to be kept. I'm waiting for an Airedale puppy! There is one female who is a month old but I'm not sure I'm getting her yet as she's being evaluated for show prospects. If not, there is another litter due in April which would come home in June. So, fingers crossed I get this female, but if not, I can wait a couple more months. I've only been waiting a year so far ;)

So, back to my card, this is Sugarplums Cookie Emma from CC Designs. I used Basic Grey's Olivia paper, the sticky ribbon and flower are from the same set. There is just a wee bit of Star Dust stickles on her ribbons and lace. I was super excited to finally use my CC Designs cutter and stamp set called Tags It for the birthday sentiment. I want more of those!!!

I'm entering this card over at All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes.
