Love......Forever & Always

My hubby asked me to make a wedding card for one of his employees who is leaving this week to get married in Punta Cana. They are a young couple so the one image I do have was very appropriate for them I thought. I used a digital image from The Greeting Farm called Kissy Kissy and I decided to play along with TGF's Farm Fresh Friday's Friday Spy Day - Tag Your It Challenge.

I saw a few cards done this way - using the image in plain black and white with no colouring and wanted to try it. I couldn't use no colour at all though, so I used a couple copics - R21 for the cheeks, R000 for the flowers in her hair, and BG0000 for the ribbon on her dress. I then added some Star Dust Stickles to them and to the lace trim at the bottom of her dress. Just before adding the Stickles I spritzed the image with some Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. I hope they like it :)

Paper: Basic Grey Hello Luscious dp
Stamp: The Greeting Farm digi Kissy Kissy, Amy R's Big Words and Handy Additions
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin Up Rose Red
Accessories: Basic Grey Hello Luscious Ribbon Doilies, rhinestones from stash, Prima flowers, Stampin Up Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz, Star Dust Stickles, Stampin Up Jumbo Eyelets, CTMH Juniper Waxy Flax

Wish

Hello there! My niece turned 13 today and I whipped up this card for her. I've been wanting to use The Greeting Farm's Abbey ever since I got her and I think this was the perfect time! I used The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday Spy Day #4 Challenge for my card. I'm also entering this card in All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes, Ribbon Carousel's Anything Goes Challenge and The Spotted Chic's That's Krafty Thursday #55.

I was a bit worried about colouring Abbey since I hadn't used my copics in a while but I'm quite happy with how she turned out. I used a bit of gold Perfect Pearls mixed with some water to spray on the little Tim Holtz Wish ticket for a bit of shimmer and some Crystal stickles on her eyes (to match my niece's sparkly eyes). I also used some Glossy Accents on the bow and the belt buckle.

Stamps: The Greeting Farm's Abbey and Splotchy background, Stampin Up Whimsical Words
Paper: Cosmo Cricket's Pixie Liscious, kraft cs
Ink: Brilliance Archival Ink Graphite Black
Copics: hair - E30, 31, 34, 35, 37; shirt, shoes and bow - R22, 24; Pants - C3, 5, 7; skin - E50, 21, R20
Accessores: Tim Holtz Ideaology Adage Tickets, Twinery Twine, Crystal Stickles, Perfect Pearls, Glossy Accents, brads from stashLink

Happy Birthday

Another birthday card for August!! This one is for my father-in-law. He is an avid outdoors man and hunter and beleive it - this is the closest thing to outdoors I had in my stash of stamps. Will have to fix that!!

Anyway, I used an owl from The Greeting Farm's Hoo Loves You set, some Stampin Up dp and some CTMH buttons. That's about it, other than a little sparkle from my Clear Spica Glitter Pen and some Glossy Accents on the little guys beak

By the way, I coloured the owl using Stampin Up inks and a blender pen.

Stamps: The Greeting Farm Hoo Loves You, Amy R's Birthday Sentiments

Best Wishes

Hello - Geesh, time is just flying by. Would you believe I had this card in my mind for so long and of course, the night before the wedding, whipped it off under pressure!! And it came together so easily - no layouts or challenges - just an idea in my head for a change, LOL!! I have been meaning to do this card for so long, but have this printer that uses like 5 or 6 cartridges and when one runs out, you can't use it GRRRR! Even if you just want to print black - it just won't do it till you replace whatever empty cartridge regardless. So I had got this digi image from The Greeting Farm and finally got to my hubby's shop and printed it there last week and then Thursday evening began the card for the wedding the next evening :-)

This was for my hubby's half sister who now lives in New Zealand, but she came home for her wedding. She went to teach in Auckland and met a wonderful guy and has made Aukland her home. I knew the colours of the wedding involved yellow and pewter and it turned out that her wedding dress was a very very pale shade of yellow and the bridesmaid dresses were pewter so I was so happy that I chose to make the colours the way I did for the card.

I used The Greeting Farm's digital image called 'Kissy Kissy' and the dp is Basic Grey's Origins. The grooms shoes were shined up with a Sakura clear glaze pen and the bride's flowers and ribbon on her dress got a little bit of sparkle from a clear Spica glitter pen.

The dress and flowers were coloured with a Y11 copic and the blender pen.

Stamps: The Greeting Farm digi Kissy Kissy, Amy R Stamps Spring Sentiments
Paper: Basic Grey Origins dp, Stampin Up Very Vanilla cs
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, copics
Accessories: Pewter Liquid Pearls, Stampin Up Pear Pizzaz Seam Binding Ribbon, Nestabilities, Atyou Clear Glitter pen, Sakura Clear Glaze pen, Ranger Vintage Photo Distess Ink, Prima flowers

Happy Easter Bobbers!

I found this adorable digi Easter Anya for free over on The Greeting Farm's Blog and I couldn't resist! It was perfect for my daughter's Easter card. I used one of the previous sketches as well from TGF's Farm Fresh Challenge. I originally only coloured this image as a test for colours but it turned out so well that I ended up cutting her out and eventually it turned into this! I used Basic Grey's Olivia dp and finally got to use some of the ribbon doilies that match. I popped her up with some pop dots over the oval background which I coloured using a sponge applicator and Ranger's Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass. Some rhinestones from my dollar store stash finished everything off. The sentiment on the inside is a freebie digi as well from Pink Cat Studio.

I entered this card in The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge - Digital Get Down and The Spotted Chick's That's Krafty Thursday #50.

Happy New Year 2011!

Soooo, I said in my last post that I found this adorable Happy New Year Anya image over at Splendid Stamping With the Greeting Farm and I couldn't help but make a card with her. Funny though, I don't give out New Year's cards so she might just be a keeper. I gave myself an extra push today and forced myself to use more embellishments than normal. They intimidate me I guess - I tend to keep things minimal, partly because I like the minimal look, but also out of a fear of messing it up! That being said, I'm glad I went with it because I love how this turned out!! I used Basic Grey Olivia paper and distressed EVERYTHING just slightly with some Antique Linen Distress Ink and an edge distresser on the dp. I even used the distess ink on the ribbon and the flowers! And then came the bling!! I used a clear Atyou Spica pen on the Happy New Year and the 2011 on her sash; Diamond Stickles on her earings, shoes and under her dress; and the rhinestone flourish (which by the way was courtesy of Monique's blog candy I won a while back). Believe it or not, the ribbon was from a pair of pj's that I got as a gift. They were wrapped in a bundle with the ribbon, and of course I kept it!! Something else I tried new today was Anya's hair. I used a different technique and I'm thrilled with how that turned out too!!

I used Sketch #134 over at Friday's Sketchers and I'm also entering this for The Crafty Pad's Challenge #102 Anything Goes.
