Thanks

I decided I had to use this stamp from Stamping Bella called Woofin' It Up finally and I had the perfect idea for it. This card is for Bosley's groomers who do such a lovely job with him. He always looks so great and I really have to give them credit sometimes, I don't brush him nearly like I should, and they always manage to keep him looking so handsome!

Truth be told, I once forgot to pick him up after work from the groomers and went home and he wasn't there and then I realized where he was but they were closed!!!! Luckily they called me at home and said they had him with them and brought him out to me :-(. I was so upset that I could forget about him, bad mommy!!! ssshhhhh
I used Friday's Sketchers #139. For my card I flipped the sketch sideways.
I used Basic Grey Max And Whiskers again (I just love the colours) and distressed the edges of the paper for a not so clean look. Check out their noses!! They're coloured with a Sakura Black Glaze Pen to make them appear all shiny - big, black, wet dog noses!! One of my favourite things!! The 'thanks' on the inside is from Hero Arts Trees, Birds & Messages stamp set.
Stamps: Stamping Bella Woofin' It Up, Hero Arts Trees, Birds & Messages
Paper: Basic Grey Max and Whiskers, Stampin Up Chocolate Chip
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Distress Ink Antique Linen, Stazon Jet Black, Copics
Accessories: Nestabilites Large Labels, Basic Grey Button, Sakura Black Glaze pen, ribbon from stash
And here is my wet nose Bosley!!

Love You

I wanted to share this card with everyone! It is a card I made at my last card class with Jen. We used Stampin Up's Valentine Defined stamp set. It is so sweet, I absolutely love those heart reeds or whatever you want to call them. They are the reason I will probably buy this set, lol!!

I have never brayered before and this was so cool! I loved it!! We used Regal Rose, Melon Mambo and Real Red to achieve the different levels of colour. I think my favourite thing about this card is that we used old olive and black ink for the heart reeds and the taller ones actually look like they are further away in the sunset.
We did some masking and sponging to create the sun and the glittery paper is Stampin Up as well.

Happy Birthday

"It's busy", he says. That's what my hubby said when I asked him how he liked my new card, lol. But that's okay - I was trying to challenge myself to use more papers and more patterns and I'm thrilled with how it turned out. I usually only end up with two patterned papers, another fear I have (the first fear is embellishments, the second is using several patterned papers). I used Cosmo Cricket's Pixie-Liscious patterned paper and a new stamp (for me) from Claudia and Company called Birthday Emily. I found this sketch at Friday Sketchers and followed it closely to help me along with my challenge. I didn't fit in the circle layer, that probably would have put me over the top, LOL!! I'm entering this card in Crafty Pad's Challenge #105 - Something Girly.

Paper: Cosmo Cricket Pixie-Liscious, Stampin Up Crumb Cake, Bella cs
Stamp: Claudio and Company Birthday Emily
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, copics
Accessories: Glossy Accents, Stampin Up Scallop Border Punch, Stampin Up Decorative Label Punch, Rhinestones from stash, Spica Atyou Clear glitter pen
p.s. I really {heart} this stamp and can't wait to use her some more!! This card is for my daughter's friend.

Lots & Lots of Love

My daughter had surgery yesterday, in her mouth - one tooth pulled and another uncovered from under her palet (behind her top front teeth) and a brace attached. This will be connected to her braces, lots of stitches. She was so brave and she's doing well. She'll be back to herself in no time. I made this sweet card to cheer her up today. She saw me colouring little Lucy this week and loved the colours so I decided to make the card for her. I used Basic Grey's Max and Whiskers paper and my new copic markers that match perfectly I think. After I coloured her, I decided to use W3 on her outfit after colouring it to dull the colour a bit. I love how she turned out. I went over her hair with a Sakura black glaze pen and the edge of her dress as well, and I used the Sakura clear glaze pen on her shoes. And - for a little more bling, Rock Candy Stickles on her wings :-)

I'm entering this card in Stamping Bella's Bellerific Fridays and Paper Sundaes Birthday Celebration Challenge. I used one of the recent challenges, #51 Circles.

Bee Yourself........Bee Mine!

Way, way back in the warm sunny days of summer (seems so long ago) I made two of these cards after being inspired by Kristina Werner and one of her Finally Friday cards. Sorry about the dark photos, the one card I photographed outside in the summer, the other inside tonight, boy can you tell the difference (and that's after editing!!). I used CTMH's Bee Mine mini set, My Mind's Eye Home dp and Stampin Up Vanilla cs. I wanted to use paper that wasn't traditional valentine colours and I really liked the patterns on these papers as well. The two cards are identical except for the bees which I used the Spica Clear Glitter pen on one, and champaign Stickles on the other. I had a lot of fun making these cards and I like the message. My daughter is going to give them to a couple of her friends.

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi! Hopefully my daughter doesn't see this because this is for her!! This is Cupid Emily - I won her from Sparkle Creations a little while ago and was sooo looking forward to making a card with her. I used this week's Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp Challenge Sketch #25 for the card.

I used Bo Bunny's Crazy Love dp again on kraft cs that was embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder. And guess what! I probably haven't mentioned it, but my hubby got me a sewing machine for Christmas (Yahhhhh!!!!) so this is the first card I tried on my own. I've sewn on a couple cards at my card classes and was soooo nervous both times, I haven't used a sewing machine since high school, lol!!

I also used some little red Bella bling and some Diamond Stickles on her wings. This was a really simple card to put together but I love the simplicity of it. I think the kraft cards are my favourite right now!! The sentiment is from Hero Arts Valentines Sayings.
I'm also going to enter this in Paper Sundaes Challenge #51 - Circles.
Paper: Bo Bunny Crazy Love, Stampin Up Real Red cs, kraft cs
Stamps: Sparkle Creations Cupid Emily, Hero Arts Valentines Sayings
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Distress Ink Vintage Photo, Copics
Accessories: Nestabilities, Diamond Stickles, Bella Dots

You Know You Love Me

This is my first Valentine card for this year. I had my hubby in mind when making it :-).

So this is Betty! I love this paper pad, Bo Bunny Crazy Love and I always knew I'd use Kraftin Kimmie's Betty with it. The little pearls are mocha coloured Opaques from CTMH and that adorable brad is from the coordinating set of brads from Bo Bunny's Crazy Love line. The Hugs and Kisses image is from the Hero Arts Valentine Sayings set. I used some Ranger Distress Ink to distress the sentiment and the background to Betty. Betty was cut out and adhered to the background and then I used some pop-up dots to adhere the image to the card. I also used some really cool adhesive called Kool Tak Micro. It is adhesive dotted sheets which were recommended to me at one of my card classes at Dat's. I used it to adhere the two ribbons and the bottom half of the image. The cotton lace ribbon is from one of the local dollar stores. Can't beat that!! I used some Crystal Stickles on Betty's eyelids and the flower on her sleeve and then my clear Glitter Spica Atyou Pen on her stockings. She's pretty hot I think!!

I used this weeks Sketch #136 from Friday's Sketchers.

I'm also entering this card for Paper Sundaes Challenge #51 - Circles. If you look closely you'll see the background dp is full of all kinds of little circles.

Paper: Bo Bunny's Crazy Love dp, Stampin Up Close to Cocoa and Pretty in Pink cs
Stamps: Kraftin Kimmie's Betty, Hero Arts Valentine Sayings
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Vintage Phota and Antique Linen Ranger Distress Ink VintCopics
Accessories: Bo Bunny brad, CTMH Mocha Opaques, ribbon from stash, Crystal Stickles, Clear Atyou Spica glitter pen

Get Well

Hello there! Just a quick post tonight - I had to whip this card off Friday after work real quick before going up to the hospital. My 12 year old niece had an unscheduled surgery on her hip (growth plate) and there was only a days notice. I had this little guy (CC Designs Flower Power)lying around already coloured so it was perfect for this card!! I used Stampin Up's Perfect Plum cs and Razzleberry Lemonade dp from Stampin Up as well. There is some gold distress stickles on the flower and the image was coloured with copics.

Happy Birthday - Cosmobella Style

Another birthday card here!! This time for my girlfriend. I've had Cosmobella for a while and have been anxious to use her. I knew I wanted to use this paper called Girls Night Out from We R Memory Keepers for her as well and this card was the perfect reason. This card idea has been floating around in my mind for a while, lol. I also knew I'd somehow incorporate the black glitter cs. I decided to try paper piecing her outfit since I wanted to match her outfit to the dp, I added a bit of Tiara Stickles to her belt and flip flops and then added some Glossy Accents to her cosmo. I'm going to enter this card in Paper Sundae's Challenge #50 - Something New.

Paper: Black cs, We R Memory Keepers Girls Night Out cs, glitter cs

Happy Birthday again!!

Another birthday card, this time for my daughter's friend. I enjoyed making this card so much. The stamp is from the CTMH set called Happy Forever. I love this little guy and there's four cute images of him in the set. I got the tips for colouring him with the copics from this tutorial by Suzy Haghighi at Papermonkey. She's colouring a mouse but the idea still worked on this little hedgehog. The background was stamped with the Friend Definintion stamp from Hero Arts. Glossy Accents was added to the balloons for a little shine. I'm entering this card in Paper Sundaes Challenge #50 - Something New since this is the first time inking up both the Friend Definition stamp the the CTMH set.

Paper: Stampin Up Tempting Turquoise and Pink Passion Textured cs, My Mind's Eye Love Me Do dp
Stamps: Hero Arts Friend Definition, CTMH Happy Forever and Piece of Cake

Happy Birthday

New Year's Eve is my step-son's birthday and he just turned 14!! Yikes!! Here is the birthday card I made for him. I used papers from the My Mind's Eye Home pack and the cardstock is Coredinations Nostalgia. The stamps are from the Close To My Heart set called A Little Everything. It was stamped with Versamark and embossed with black embossing powder. A little twine and some tiny brads from my stash finished it off.
