Season's Greetings

I got my prize this week from Monique and so I decided to check out Waltzing Mouse Stamps since this was one of the prizes. I love the stamps and to have them match the nestabilities, that is so cool! I will be getting my hands on some of those! This is a card I made for Challenge #20 at Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge using this sketch.

I used Fancy Pants Falling Snow dp and the Very Vintage Christmas Stamp set which is by the way, nestie friendly, and some Bella Bling. I've been wanting to use them so badly and I finally had the perfect card. I was going for a vintage feel so I used some Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen. It matched the dp perfectly. The snowflake brad was white so I coloured with a copic marker and then added some Champaigne Stickles for some more bling. Hope you like it ~
Paper: Fancy Pants Falling Snow dp, brown and white cardstock
Stamps: Waltzing Mouse Very Vintage Christmas Set
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo and Antique Linen, Stampin Up Taken With Teal

Happy Holidays

Here is the second of three cards I'm making using the Bo Bunny Winter Joy dp. I used Santa Birgitta again this time with the Liquid Applique on her hat and dress and Spica Glitter Pen on her wings. This layout was found on Maria Bell's Stampin Inspriations Blog. I love the little circles she used on the bottom of the card and the way the embossed paper looked like snow. I used Stampin Up's Platinum Shimmer paint for the sentiment. I have 5 Christmas cards made so far including the 3 I've made at my classes......I better get busy!!

Stamps: CC Designs Santa Birgitta, Amy R's Winter Sentiments
Paper: Bo Bunny Winter Joy dp, Stampin Up Old Olive, lavender and white cs
Ink: Memento Black Ink, Stampin Up Platinum Shimmer Paint, Copics
Accessories: silver cord, cuttlebug embossing folder, EK Success 1" circle punch, Marvy snowflake punch

For the Happy Couple

I made this card for my very good friend Paula's wedding day. I stamped the hearts with versamark and embossed with white ep, cut them out and popped them with some 3D dots. I used a crop-a-dile to punch the holes for the eyelets and hung them from some string which was tied to the ribbon. I also used some jewelled brads to adhere the sentiment. I'm entering this in Amy Rysavy's ATG Contest Giveaway over at Prairie Paper and Ink.

Paper: Stampin Up Vanilla cs and dp (can't remember the name of the papers)

Stamps: Amy R's Spring Sentiments, Inkadinkado Hearts

Ink: Stampin Up Brocade Blue, versamark
Accessories: clear ep, (string, ribbon and brads from stash), Nestabilities Petite Ovals and Petite Scalloped Ovals dies

Happy Birthday

Fall is definately becoming my second favourite season!! I've got such great pictures this year, and we've been so lucky to have had such a long summer, and mild fall I couldn't resist making this card! I've been following Jennifer McGuire's Holiday Thinking Inking over at Two Peas and this card was made with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I didn't stray too far from her card as I loved how the leaves turned out and really wanted to use this stamp set. The idea was to use watercolour paper, (I used regular paper) stamp your image with the distress ink and then spray with a mist of water to make the ink bleed. That's what I did here. I used the oak leaf from the Lovely As A Tree Stampin Up set and I was very happy with how they turned out. I inked the edges of them and the cardstock with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and also used Antique Linen so they weren't too bright. I used some Stampin Up Welcome Neighbour dp as well. I'm going to give this to my Pops who will be 88 this month!

This is one of my favourite photos this year from some trails near my home and why I wanted to do this card.

Wishing you.....

I've officially begun the Christmas Cards I have planned. I got a good start to them through the Charity Stamping Event here and a card class I attended. I'll post those later!! They're so cute!! Now I just have to figure out who's going to get what! There's so many ideas I want to try!! This is my first card using Santa Birgitta from CC Designs. As you can see I loved using the Dazzling Diamonds from Stampin Up. I'm working on two more cards with this same dp. I love that this paper is non-traditional colours too! Like the little charm?? I found this layout on a Christmas card by The Spotted Chick.
I'm entering this card over at Prairie Paper & Ink for Amy's ATG Contest Giveaway. She is giving away a Scotch ATG set.

Happy Birthday Ghoulfriend

So now that it is officially October, I can post a great card I made at my latest card class with Donna! How cute is this?? My daughter is going to use it for her friends birthday this month. Second time with the sewing machine and I don't think I did too bad. I loved how we curled the flowers to give some dimmension. It was really neat how Donna matched the copics we used to the papers.
