Friendship Has Its Perks

For the last several months I've been subscribing to the Simon Says Stamp Monthly Card Kit, you get lots of fun goodies - coordinating stamps, paper, embellishments, ink etc and for a great price.  I made a birthday card for my friend Donna and I used October's Card Kit featuring the Simon Says Stamp set 'What's Brewing' and die.

I don't know about you, but I hope she has good eyesight cause you can barely read the inside sentiment, it's so small!!!

I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #157
and I'm also entering my card in the Seize the Birthday 'Anything Goes' Birthday Challenge.

And the Simon Monday Challenge - Falling in Love With....  - I think these Basic Grey papers are perfect warm fall colours :)

Deepest Sympathy

Here is the second of three sympathy cards I planned to make using some old papers and stash. I love how this turned out. I honestly would not have put these colours together on my own. The patterned paper is from Kaisercraft's Peachy Keen collection. At the bottom of the paper are five coloured spots in shades of green, yellow, orange and brown. I picked the pale yellow and it is really so soft looking. The picture doesn't show the exact colour, I think it's Barley Banana from Stampin Up and the ribbon is So Saffron.

Once again, The Feshly Made Sketch #129 inspired the layout, I just flipped it to the side :)

Paper:  Kaisercraft Peachy Keen, SU Barely Banana
Stamps:  CTMH Card Chatter - Sympathy
Ink:  Stampin Up Soft Suede
Accessories:  SU So Saffron ribbon, CTMH Bitty Sparkle, Spellbinders Nestabilities

Thinking of You

I've been trying to build my card stash and thought it was a good time to also go through some old papers. I dug up a few and decided I was going to make three sympathy cards. These papers were left over from a scrapbook layout I did several years ago. The sentiment is from CTMH - Card Chatter Sympathy and the feathers are from my newest Stampin Up set Fine Feathers.  I resisted adding any embellishments, I was very pleased with the simplicity of this card.

Freshly Made Sketches #128 just happened to be the perfect sketch :).

I think my favorite part of the card is the softness of the gray and the pretty little ribbon bow.

Stamps:  CTMH Card Chatter Sympathy, Stampin Up Fine Feathers
Paper:  MME 29th Street Market, Stampin Up Very Vanilla
Ink:  Stampin Up Basic Gray
Accessories:  Stampin Up Basic Gray ribbon

Happiness Always

Here's another card I want to share over at Freshly Make Sketches this week. I am just squeaking this one in. I used Sketch #16 again.

This card is for my sister in law and family who just purchased their first home.  The little houses were stamped and coloured in with copics, cut out and popped up.

Snowflakes....

Good day :) This card came together very quickly for me today and I've very pleased with it. I hadn't had a chance to play with my CTMH Snowflakes Stamp set which coordinates with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and I've been wanting to make these snowflakes for some time. Everything came together today! I cut them with my cricut and stamped them in Stampin Up's Craft white ink and then heat embossed them with white embossing powder.  The sentiment and snowflake on the inside is from the same stamp set.  I was so excited to use the tiny twinkle brads from CTMH, I think they add the perfect touch.

The Challenge at Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge #42 is to use animal prints.  Thankfully I saw one of the design team members using animals printed on the paper, rather than an animal print, cause I don't have any, lol.  So I used paper from the Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses paper pack which has tiny deer and penguins.  I also used sketch #16 from Freshly Made Sketches as this weeks challenge is their 1 year anniversay and you can choose any previous sketch you like.

I better get outside with the mutts, it's a beautiful day!
