Love Yourself First...

Hello - I wanted to share a card I made for a friend. She hasn't been feeling well lately and I just wanted to give her some well wishes. Remember a while back, I said my new favourite card was a card I made at a stamp class at Dat's with Stamping Banana (that card went to another friend who is recently seperated from her husband). Well, I decided to follow the same paper/colour scheme and make one along the same lines. I really didn't want to do any colouring today, I just wanted to stamp and I just wanted to make a card so here is what came about :)

First I stamped Brigette on kraft cs with Jet Black Stazon and then inked the edges with some Distress Ink in Pumice Stone and then distressed the edges. I then stamped the sentiments on some white cs with Stampin Up Sage Shadow and matted them with black cs. (This sentiment has been perfect for these cards and the reasons they were given!) I decided I was going to paper piece the towels for a splash of colour on the image since I wasn't going to colour her and then I used a white gel pen and some Glamour Dust for the bubbles. We used glamour dust on the first card as well. Love how that turned out!! Actually I love the whole card and I can see myself doing more like this.

I will probably continue with this paper/colour scheme when I need another pick-me-up card with Brigette, and I will definately stamp an image and leave it uncoloured again, or I might try a bit of colouring with pencils or light copic colours.

Off to bed now, can feel my eyelids starting to droop..........
